YOU DID IT, RISHABH!!!

YOU DID IT, RISHABH!!!
Rishabh's story is a story of self-belief and what one can accomplish with one's determination and strong will power.

Congratulations dear Rishabh for fighting with depression and winning your war against it successfully. I am glad if I could play even a tiny role in helping you come out of it.

I still remember it very vividly when I received continuous calls from an unknown number in the middle of my session. I realized the urgency of the moment and came out of the room and confirmed to call back after an hour. At the other end of the call, I could sense a familiar voice with trembling words, "I ... will ... wait".

Immediately after an hour, I called back and recognized the voice. It was Rishabh, one of my former students who was going through a rough patch in his life personally as well as professionally. I heard his whole story with patient ears and understood Rishabh was going through some serious depression. I was bewildered to know that I was the only person whom he contacted in such moments.

I did whatever I could to make him believe in his potential and made sure to keep in touch with him. Time to time, he updated me about his progress and one fine day, I received this text from him. This experience not only affirmed my faith in the power of self-belief, but it also made me feel humbled as a human being.

"Hello Sir! We are connected since 2012 and whenever I needed you, you were there for me. You know when I called you few months ago regarding some problem and I was very depressed at that time. At that time, you were the one who motivated me and asked me to do the following things. I followed each and every step you told me. And after working with a number of xyz MNCs, finally I got an opportunity to work with India's No. 1 Payment App. 'PAYTM'. It's all because of you and your belief in me. Thank you so much, Sir! Keep connected with me."

Congratulations dear Rishabh for fighting with depression and winning your war against it successfully.
Depression is a condition that causes feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of motivation. It may affect a person's ability to perform, and it can also lead to suicidal thoughts and behaviors. While finding motivation cannot cure depression, however it can certainly help a person reconnect with the world and improve their recovery. Here are some proven ways to fight with your depression (personally experienced!!!),

1. Get involved in a physical activity like long walks, running, workout etc.

2. Socialize. Receive support from others who can help you feel less alone.

3. Try to wake up early and feed your mind with positive thoughts with self-affirmation.

4. Stay engaged. In order to maintain positive engagement, keep a gratitude journal.

5. Volunteer for the needy and feel grateful for what you are already blessed with.

6. Establish routines. The sense of having accomplished daily tasks will promote a sense of well-being too.

7. Avoid negativity. Your brain digests whatever thoughts you create, so feed it with positive ones.

8. Celebrate small victories. Congratulate yourself for every task or goal you complete, no matter how small.

9. Get enough sleep. Aim for eight hours a day at least.

10. Stay completely away form drugs and alcohol even if you long for a momentary relief.

If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner.

And last but not the least, If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.
